The Department of Jewelry and Fashion is the only department in Israel – and one of the few in the world – that deals with everything related to the environment of the body: from jewelry and clothing, to shoes, bags, glasses, watches and more.

The fields of study in the department provide a wide range of skills as well as deep familiarity with advanced materials and technologies, and foster stimulating and fascinating dialogues that are fertile ground for original and innovative design. The study environment provides a comprehensive learning experience starting from formulating guiding ideas through their planning, along with sketches and prototypes, to the acquisition of skills and working methods of traditional craft and advanced contemporary technologies, to final implementation. All while ensuring the highest level of execution.

The department places the greatest importance on the value of sustainability in all of its related environmental, economic, and social aspects. This value, embedded in the core of the department’s activities, is reflected in the products of the various courses in general and in the final projects of the last few years in particular.

The digital production revolution is in full swing and the department aims to be at the cutting edge of technology, leading the way towards the assimilation of innovative tools and methodologies, and shaping the new craft in the local and global field.

The department sees special importance in maintaining harmony between the fields of jewelry, accessories and fashion, and strives to bring a new message to everything related to the body’s environment from a technical, material and conceptual point of view, while maintaining the creative space of each field.

The department’s graduates integrate into a particularly wide variety of fields of activity as jewelry, shoe, fashion, and accessory designers with independent studios; as academic researchers; and as artists who present their work in galleries and museums in Israel and around the world. All this alongside winning important awards in various fields in local and international arenas.
