An Undocumented Mawsem

An Undocumented Mawsem An architectural journey tracing a Bedouin family from the Galilee This project emerged from a place of silence. It wasn’t until I faced the task of choosing a theme for my final project that I realized I lacked a foundational story—no rooted narrative to call my own. Through hours of questions and conversations, a journey began to unfold: the migration of my Bedouin family around the Sea of Galilee. From tents and caves to tin shelters and permanent homes, each stage is preserved in seasons, flavors, and memories. It was along this journey that I discovered the Mawsem — a living calendar that marks when to move, when to work, and when to rest.
