I unleash pieces of myself and set them loose into the world. My hands speak more fluently than words. A bedsheet becomes a piece of clothing. My hands pass memory into material, weaving sorrow and hope through loose seams.I stretch inside my own skin, picking up pieces of innocence and a quiet kind of hope. This is a biographical collection. The bedsheet holds memories. Palm tree parts, inner tubes, and bicycle tires form the landscape of my childhood. Cotton and wool are the ink in the pen that writes across the pages of my diary. These materials contain who I am, they speak air, love, and peace. They speak the words I cannot say, in quiet simplicity. Materials: Wool, cotton, bed sheet, palm tree elements, bicycle tires, inner tubes. Working Techniques: Pattern drafting, free draping, hand sewing, machine sewing.
