If time could be held
The passage of time is an elusive concept — inseparable from life — and the things that pass, even once gone, leave a mark, continuing to echo and exist.
Time is present in our existence; it touches material, body, and soul. We move between the experience of repetition that exists in the endless motion of existence, and the clear direction in which we progress along our own timeline — the undeniable awareness of our finitude as human beings.
This work is an attempt to give material expression to thoughts about the different ways a life unfolds, and to explore the idea that what passes in the world does not disappear, but rather transforms, sinks, and accumulates.
