Incerra: Induction furnace for a new ceramic firing experience

Ceramics is one of the oldest crafts in the world. Within a tradition that is difficult to renew, I decided to reevaluate the firing process.

The project began with material research combined with innovative technology that allows for a full firing in 15 minutes instead of a full day, and with lower energy consumption. In addition, two types of firing in one operation, in one kiln.

From the research, the idea of Incerra was developed a compact and fast kiln for a home studio or laboratory, allowing creators, designers, researchers, and material enthusiasts to make firing a dynamic part of the process to test, touch, make mistakes, and fire again.
