Landscape | Studio no.7 Almeria, Spain

Embarking on this project has challenge to transform an illegally constructed mountain hotel into a symbiotic part of nature. Nestled disruptively on the mountain, the hotel's impact on the landscape became the focal point of my intervention. My approach involved a radical yet environmentally conscious transformation—filling the entire structure with soil and repurposing balconies into vibrant terraces. Central to this vision was the meticulous strengthening of the building's structure to accommodate the added weight, aiming not just for rectification but for a harmonious coexistence with the natural surroundings. Prioritizing sustainability, my design emphasizes the facilitation of water flow between balconies, creating a space where architecture and nature seamlessly converge. This project is not just about correcting an illegal structure; it's my endeavor to turn it into a personally meaningful and ecologically responsible space.
