LOLA

An animated film about a character who carries a hole within her – an open wound, an unresolved question, or a persistent sense of lack. Driven by a deep need to fill the void and heal herself, she sets out on a journey, seeking help from three different figures. Each offers a different kind of solution – misguided, frightening, or dismissive – until she realizes that the answer will not come from outside.

In the end, alone and in silence, she finds the strength within herself to close the hole. Not through any external fix, but through emotion – through tears, and the realization that she can lift herself.

The film is rooted in a personal experience of existential independence, longing, and a quiet kind of loneliness that yearns to be held. It speaks to the difficulty of letting go of control, allowing things to unfold, meeting ourselves – even when there are no answers – and recognizing that, in the end, you are here for yourself.
