Transition

The project explores “home” not as a fixed place, but as a moving entity – an ongoing experience of transitions. It lingers in the in-between space, in the unseen moments of movement from one place to another, and in the constant inner tension between the desire to settle and rest and the need to keep moving.
A performance born out of a direct encounter with the concept of “home,” following work with displaced residents from northern Israel during the Iron Swords War. This encounter gradually seeped inward, touching on questions of identity, belonging, and transience – questions that continue to accompany me through my own personal transitions.
At the heart of the piece lies a simple yet profound question:
How can one feel at home in an unstable, transient reality?
The performance incorporates objects that serve as an “essence of home.” Through the encounter with these objects, the body becomes a transitional entity – carrying, being carried, situating itself, and moving. Through this movement, the work examines the delicate, emotional, and physical relationship between the individual and the things they choose to carry in order to feel safe and secure.
