A ladder? It starts with Jacob’s Dream and ends with climbing up to change a light bulb. Living in the shed or leaning against the wall on the balcony, it spends most of the time alone, waiting for the moment it can be the hero and lift us where we need to reach. But sometimes, even when we need it, we make do with a nearby chair, a sturdy dresser, or even a table, and the ladder, eager to enter the domestic space, is left outside yet again. Together, the ladder and I were swept away into the realm of its dream, found other uses for it, and gave it a double life that allows it to change from a visiting guest into a family member. Is it a ladder? Yes. Advisor: Liora Rosin
