"On Purpose"

Reservists who experience repeated disruptions to civilian life often struggle to shape a stable and meaningful life path in the face of instability, emotional fatigue, and existential overload. Even those with an established professional trajectory report a desire to make a profound change in their lives.
This project proposes a foundational program that includes a group workshop and an accompanying personal workbook, enabling self-exploration and direction-setting through human-centered prototyping grounded in the diverse human richness of the reserve units. The workshop is based on design thinking methodology and incorporates principles of designing for uncertainty and designing for meaning, alongside reflective tools and short-form experiences – conversations with experienced professionals, exposure days, and focused simulations.
Approximately equips reservists with flexible navigation skills in uncertain situations using a design-process approach: the ability to linger in the question, explore options, and develop an approach of curiosity and trust toward the path ahead. It offers a human-centered, adaptive response to a rapidly changing reality.
