My collection is about obsession. Through two-dimensional line drawing, I intensively sketch the silhouette shape of a woman’s face. It is an outline that begins at the forehead, goes down through the nose, marks the lips, chin, and down to the neck. I designed a collection of five outfits in which a female silhouette appears, sometimes prominently and clearly, and other times erased and blended in. In each garment, I simultaneously mark and erase the body’s silhouette. The minimalist forms that I have created embody a hidden and emotionally charged world, filled with personal experiences and internal struggles. The collection expresses the fluctuations between control and instability through a material approach—a connection between soft, flowing textiles and a tailored, rigid appearance. Neoprene Scuba fabric sometimes serves as a base underneath the textile, maintaining its shape. Without it, the fabric would lose stability and grip and collapse.
