Our House is Falling Apart

The project examines the official residence of the Prime Minister of Israel in Balfour vis-à-vis its location in the urban fabric, its relationship to other state institutions, and its function, as well as the ongoing renovations at the residence, which result in construction on private property and an undesirable mix between private and public. The project also explores the Israeli façade and looks at its symbolism and connection to quintessential Israeli architecture, manifested in the Prime Minister’s residence as a symbolic structure. Lecturers: Architect Yuval Yaski, Architect Dor Balaish
