Time is more than a measure of moments – it is a subjective, shifting experience, shaped by emotional and situational context.
In today’s digital world, where information overload, constant availability, and the demand for immediate response dictate our pace, the gap between objective and subjective time is widening. We find ourselves syncing with external systems that define the “right time,” often in contradiction to what our bodies and minds actually feel.
In my work, I explore this tension through artistic, design-based, and technological processes, using a Research through Design methodology. Participants are invited to tune into their inner tempo through interactive experiences of acceleration and deceleration. The outcomes are visualized collectively, revealing the relationship – and often the disconnect – between personal, felt time and externally measured time.
This project does not seek to eliminate the clock, but rather to reframe its role in our lives, offering a space to reconnect with time as a deeply human, embodied experience.
