Renewal - Leftover Concrete, Fresh Thinking

Renewal - Leftover Concrete, Fresh Thinking This project explores how architecture can respond to one of the construction industry’s most urgent challenges: material waste, and especially the environmental cost of concrete. We investigate how buildings — typically seen as permanent and resource-heavy — can instead be designed for disassembly, reuse, and longevity. Using structural elements salvaged from a demolished building, we explore how concrete can be cataloged, reconfigured, and reassembled into new architecture. What if buildings were designed to come apart as intelligently as they come together? Can architecture move beyond sustainability — and become regenerative?
