An ideological chasm gaped between my mother and my grandmother — between blind obedience to the kibbutz collective framework and uncompromising individualism and critique. The film traces their relationship across time: from childhood in the kibbutz, through my grandmother’s Alzheimer's, and into the final moments of farewell. Through intimate conversations with my mother and home archive footage filmed by my grandfather on 8mm, this is an attempt to decipher a closeness that always dwelt in silence.
