My final project offers a new memorial ritual based on a modular system for lighting candles in public spaces. Each kit allows individuals to light a personal candle, and together the kits create a shared memorial light, representing a sense of belonging and collectivity. The kits are connected by transparent rods that allow the candlelight to travel between them, while the stainless-steel candle holder amplifies the reflection and reverberation of the light. As more kits are added, the shared light becomes stronger. The flame and light at the core of the project symbolize sharing and connection between people. Using advanced technologies such as 3D printing, the project creates a contemporary memory experience that combines individuality with a sense of community, inviting users to take part in a unifying and connecting memorial ceremony. Materials: 3D printing Veroclear using PolyJet technology, mirror stainless steel, magnets, wood. Working techniques: 3D printing, laser cutting, manual bending, gluing.
