The Main Temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Patriarchal Cathedral in the Name of the Resurrection of Christ, as the "Spiritual Symbol of Russia", and the Quintessence of the Official Ideology of Contemporary Russian Authoritarianism

This research examines the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces as an architectural space that embodies the official ideology of the current Russian regime. Through a structural and symbolic analysis of planning and decorative choices, the role of the Orthodox Church in Russia’s political system is revealed – along with its aspiration to establish itself as both a spiritual and political authority.
