The Secret of the Locked Garden

Hundreds of years of silencing, denial, and women's experiences excluded from medical texts have turned this garden into a myth. They said it doesn’t exist — just imagination, hysteria, invention. Endometriosis, a chronic gynecological condition affecting millions of women, is one of the most prominent examples of pain left unrecognized. This work seeks to illuminate what has been repressed, unseen, and unspoken, offering not just a representation of pain but an alternative possibility: of community and solidarity.
