My project is a personal and critical journey into the visual system that shaped my relationship with clothing. It begins with my own wardrobe, continues through my family's garments, and extends to traditional Arab dress in general, which often imposes strict standards of modesty rules that restrict the body and limit opportunities for self-expression. I am reimagining these clothing systems, offering a rebellious and bold interpretation in a 'Trashy' style that breaks away from conventional aesthetics, creating a visual space that expresses freedom, exposure, and a sense of belonging to the margins. This style is not just visual it is a personal stance, a form of resistance, and a desire to redefine the body and identity beyond traditional frameworks. Materials: Cotton and viscose knits, faux fur, woven cotton fabric. Working techniques: Sublimation printing, hand sewing, free draping, second-hand garment reconstruction.
