At the intersection of belief, craft, and compulsive action, Ohad Lowy’s exhibition examines how man copes with the absence of control in the face of a chaotic reality. The fetishization of the amulet stems from the belief that a material, once subjected to a specific physical process, becomes charged with energy that enables it to affect reality beyond human capacity. Lowy emphasizes the affinity between superstitions and compulsive rituals, highlighting how they manifest in actions and routines that help preserve a sense of stability and control. In extreme situations, as uncertainty intensifies, the need for a physical object grows, serving as an anchor in navigating between the self and the unknown.
